PGD Strategy was retained by US Risk Group, a Texas-headquartered MGA/surplus lines and wholesale broker, to advise on potential UK investor partners, as well as M & A opportunities in the London insurance market, as part of a strategy to support a more assertive corporate development of US Risk’s Lloyd’s broking subsidiary, Oxford Insurance Brokers Limited.

As part of the assignment we advised on the completion of a minority investment in Oxford Insurance Brokers by B.P. Marsh, a specialist private equity investor in early stage and growth financial and insurance services businesses in the UK, Europe and North America.

B.P. Marsh’s investment has enabled US Risk to enhance Oxford’s corporate governance, operational competence and strategic depth and to position its Lloyd’s broker as an attractive home for insurance businesses and teams in the London insurance market.

US Risk UK’s positioning in the market led to the acquisition of James Hampden International Insurance Brokers, a target originated by PGD Strategy during its M & A search engagement.
